I dont know where to start with everything that has happened!
THe jungle was amazing, on the first nght we stayed in our guides house in a tiny village. He told us about the history of borneo, and showed us blowpipes and we tried them out. We had wild boar for dinner which was sooooo tasty! i felt brave tryiing it but i loved it!!!
From then on we slept in hammocks, they were really comfy but so hard to get in and out of. And puttng wet clothes on in the mornng was horrible. I dont really thnk i can do it all justiice in the time i have but you might get a bit of a picture! The walkng was actually not that dfficult because we only did 4 or 5 hours a day. But it got dark at 6 so we had to have hammocks up etc by then. Rice with rehydrated food was not really that tasty!! But the jungle was such an experience. The last day of the jungle was horrible though, 8 hours of walkng and i really reached breaking point. I found going up a hill at the end so hard. But i carried my bag myself, cryng the whole way!
The village was amzng though. There were two australian gap students in the house which was really nce. And they were teaching at the local school so we got a chance to. I took a year1 lesson and taught them im a little teapot, i loved it. It was one of the best experiences ever. I thnk my time wll run out soon but i will write what i can. The project was a bit of a joke, we didnt do much. But the time in the village was such a wonderful experience it made up for it.
must go

Hello!
I will probably have to rush off again but never mind.
We came back from Bako national Park today, a day early. The boat ride there was amazing. There were mountains and rainforest and beautiful beaches. It was really what id come for and was so much better than the city! We were eating lunch when we arrived and saw our first monkey! But after that they became less exciting when we realised they were quite vicsious and stole things! We got told to make sure our windows were well locked. One was even in the toilets once.
We saw a probiscus monkey aswell whcih was pretty cool. Apparantly if you make eye contact they try and eat your eyes. Although that could have been a different monkey!
We went for a big trek to a waterfall with our packs yesterday. It was so hard. But we made it. Today we just had day packs and went to the most awesome beach. It was stunning and the water was so warm. But the boys threw dead fish at us :( and i got heat rash. But not sunburnt unlike a lot of people.
Im really enjoying it but im so scared about the jungle trek. We havnt slept in hammocks yet so that willl be a new experience. I think i might fall out. Although they do look really comfy.
So much has happened its hard to describe it all. Today i found really hard because it was so hot. I really suffered in the sun. But i feel better now.
I think i can explain everytthing better with photos and my journal ive kept here
Hope everyone is well
Love to you all

We arrived safely which is good i suppose! Steph was a brilliant leader but it was scary how little the teachers did for us. As in nothing. We had to get ourselves through the airport, through immigration etc on our own. The flight was a beast and we were delayed for an hour in heathrow because we missed our take off time. It was annoying but the plane had lots of films and games and tv to keep us occupied. THere were three other world challenge teams on the flight to KL which was weird. It sort of feels to us like we are the only ones who have ever done this. I didn't sleep on the plane at all. But i did watch The Pianist and Madagascar. So its ok. When we got to Kuching yesterday (whcih i swear is sunday...how the hell is it tuesday already?) we were nakered. But we got a bus then had to walk to the hotel. Its so hot here its hard to bare. But hopefully we will get used to it soon. We died in the hotel for a couple of hours (although the rooms are air conditioned) and then went out to review the day and eat. The arguements over just finding somewhere to eat were ridiculous. I think this is going to be very stressful. But everyone was very tired and hungry after plane food for the last three meals. We had chinese. I had chips being the fussy thing i am. We are having chinese again tonight. And i already had chips for lunch...its great!
I cant believe how different things are, or how cheap. Its amazing. We are paying like 1-2 pounds for a meal and its not a small meal. my lunch today was about 70p. I cant wait to shop at the end!!
I feel pretty ok today but ytesterday was really hard. I felt like a loser because i insisted on going to bed but i needed it. Most other people went out except for me steph alis becky and sash i think. Me steph and alis are in a room. We had the air conditioning so low last night that we had to get out thermals and sleeping bags. But we worked out how to turn the temp up so it should be nice tongight
times up
looking at kuching today.
BUGGER!
sorry guys
